When Sam Mayer takes the green flag this 2023 season at Darlington, he and his No. 1 Accelerate Chevrolet Camaro will be representing NASCAR® champion Kurt Busch and one of his most legendary paint schemes.

Mayer’s NASCAR Xfinity Series® ride will sport a look that matches the iconic design of Busch’s car that ran during much of his rookie NASCAR Cup Series® season of 2001. Mayer’s team partner, Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions, is getting into the throwback spirit as well. In addition to having their company name in the iconic cursive style on the hood, blue marker accents can be found throughout the sides of Mayer’s car, just as they were on Busch’s 2001 ride.

Now fans can get into the throwback spirit with the official Lionel Racing die-cast of Mayer’s Accelerate Throwback Chevrolet. Available in 1:24 scale, each racing replica is produced with authentic details like an opening hood, rolling Goodyear tires, a hand-applied decal package, and more. An autographed 1:24-scale version, signed on the windshield by Mayer, is also available. In addition, a 1:64-scale die-cast is also on offer.
