When JR Motorsports driver Michael Annett straps into his No. 1 Pilot / Flying J Chevrolet at Darlington Raceway® this September, he will be turning back the clock and honoring his legendary team owner and two-time NASCAR Xfinity SeriesTM champion, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Annett’s ride during the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR® will feature a throwback Oreo paint scheme, just like the one Dale Jr. took to victory lane in the NASCAR Xfinity SeriesTM race at DAYTONA® in 2002. The car will honor Dale Jr., a Class of 2021 inductee into the NASCAR Hall of FameTM, by having his name above the right-side door and the signature “JR” on both sides of the Oreo livery.
Now, the official Lionel Racing die-cast of Annett’s No. 1 Pilot / Flying J Oreo Throwback Chevrolet is available for order. Each 1:24-scale die-cast is available on Lionel Racing’s Action Racing Collectables (ARC) model that features an opening hood. All Darlington die-cast will be produced with throwback Goodyear tires.
